Mrs. Beatrice Brown Walker, 88, of Walterboro, SC. widow of the late Fred Walker, Sr., Transitioned to Eternal Rest November 26, 2016, at Trident Medical Center, North Charleston, SC.

Born in Colleton County on September 16, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Rev. H. D. & Alice Logan Brown. She attended the public schools of Colleton County and graduated from Colleton Training School and attended Allen University in Columbia, SC. Mrs. Walker previously worked as a substitute teacher and in the hospitality industry.

 She was a member of St. Peter's A.M.E. Church where she sang on the Senior Choir, was a member of the Women’s Missionary Society and on the Alice Logan Brown Scholarship Program Committee.

 Surviving are: two sons, Johnny Brown, of Las Vegas, NV and  Fred Walker of Houston, TX; one granddaughter, Felice Walker of Houston, TX; grandson and caregiver in the home Rasheed (Geynka) Boyd; two sisters, Helen Edwards of Chicago, IL, and Merelyn Rivers of North Charleston, SC.

 Funeral Services will be held, Saturday, December 3, 2016, 11:00 am at St. Peters A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Leon Maxwell, presiding. Burial in the Zion A.M.E. Church Cemetery, Hendersonville, SC.

 The family will received friends at St.  Peters A.M.E. Church on Friday evening at 6:00 pm.
