Mr. Bryant R. Cunningham was born on March 8, 1961 in Colleton County to the late Mr. Bryant Benjamin Cunningham and late Mrs. Willie Mae Moultrie-Cunningham.

He departed this earthly life and transitioned into eternal life on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the Colleton Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Terry and David and one nephew, Bernard. 

“Yogie Bear” as he was affectionately called, was educated in the public schools of Colleton County and graduated from Walterboro High School. Yogie was a very talented “handyman” and worked in the surrounding area. He was a member of the Progressive Church of Jesus and later joined the Church of Christ.

He leaves a legacy to be cherished by his two stepsons, Jamal Johnson and Kendrick Johnson of Walterboro, SC and they blessed him with seven grandchildren .Two brothers, Ricky B. Moultrie of Walterboro, SC and Michael A. (Cynthia) Moultrie of Walterboro, SC. Two sisters, Shanta Council of Columbia, SC and Lisa (Brydell) Ward of Connecticut. Three Nieces, Markeia, Jasmine and Emerald. Six nephews, Michael, Casey, Ricky, Rashad, Justin and Jared. Six Aunts, Caffey, Janet, Ethel (Carl), Daisy (Matthew), Vernell and Anne. One Uncle, Jerome. And a host of cousins, other relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him immensely.
