Mr. Burgoyne Franklin Barnhill, Jr., son of the late Mr. Burgoyne Franklin Barnhill, Sr. and Mrs. Evelyn Gillespie Barnhill was born on February 3, 1951 in Colleton County. He departed this life on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Colleton Medical Center, Walterboro, South Carolina.

Mr. Barnhill was educated in the Colleton County Public Schools. His professional education includes a B.S. degree from Claflin University, B.A. degree from The Citadel and an Administration degree from the University of South Carolina. He taught in Colleton County Public Schools and served as an administrator for thirty-eight (38) years.

“Frank” as he was affectionately called enjoyed working with people of all walks of life.  He worked faithfully with the Student Council, band, girls’ softball, and as Student Director.

He attended The Buckhead Baptist Church. He met the love of his life at Claflin College in 1970 and they were married on June 13, 1971.  They were best friends and lovers until his departure.

Frank leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife, Easter Holliday Barnhill, eight sisters in law, Mary Bennett, Rosa Holmes, Francina Warren, Mable Holliday, Suzannah Holliday, three brothers-in-law, Isaiah Holliday(Geraldine), James Holliday(Pam), Thomas Holliday(Edna) and Lawrence Moses(Jeon) and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
