Death is not the ending, but the beginning of a new life which God has promised. On Wednesday, February 15, 2017 the time had come and this new life began for Divine Wright as he peacefully departed this earthy life for his heavenly home.

Divine Wright, affectionately known as “D- Cool,” the son of Bernard and the late Ernestine Wright, was born November 27, 1993 in Conyers, Georgia. Divine completed his primary and middle school education in Suffolk, Virginia. In 2012, he graduated from Dutchtown High School in Henry County, Georgia. He grew up and expressed positive, Christian values as he matured. He received Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior at Tabernacle Family Worship Center in Stockbridge, GA where he was an active member. 

Divine enjoyed spending time with his family and friends as he touched their lives with his warm, contagious smile. He was an avid basketball player and enjoyed watching his favorite NBA team, the Boston Celtics. His warm heart was always open as he took great pleasure in spending time with and helping his friends of Avian Forest and Langley Oaks subdivisions.

Divine is preceded in death by his mother, Ernestine H. Wright, and his sister, Splendid G. Wright. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his devoted father, Bernard Wright (Theresa) of Stockbridge, GA; his loving grandmother, Flossie Wright, of Stockbridge, GA.  Siblings Yasmeen McCanick (Rodney) of Hollywood, SC; Dr. Radisha Brown of Augusta, GA; Curtis McCallum of Williamsburg, VA;  Karisma Taylor (Wesley) of Jacksonville, FL; Crystal McCallum of McDonough, GA; Sheik Wright of Jacksonville, NC;  Symfoni Wright of Stockbridge, GA; Serenity Wright (Special Niece-“Lay”), of Stockbridge, GA; adoring generations of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and life-long friends. When we reflect back on how he touched our lives along the way, we thank and praise God for sharing Divine with us for 23 years.
