"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 We watched you suffer, We heard you sigh And when the time came we suffered too. We lived in hope - we prayed each day For God to make you well again In his mercy, he took you home In heaven to live with Jesus - "Sweet home"
It was October 27, 1955 in Heidelberg Germany when the late Wilhelm Krieg and Elsbeth Fischer were blessed with a beautiful baby girl named "Doris Anne." Doris received her education in Mannheim Germany in Architecture and Engineering and Graphic Design. From 1978 -1997 she started with the Department of Defense working with Army Community Services; Headquarters, Communications and Electronics Command as a liaison between military, civilian and commercial agencies worldwide to include White House Communications Agency Korea and Germany on matter pertaining to logistical support.
Mrs. Thompson was a multitalented individual as her career included various jobs with the University of Miami and as a receptionist with the Athletic Department where she was well loved and respected for her kindness and attention to detail. She referred to all of the student athletes as "her children." She encouraged them to always strive for excellence. While in Heidelberg Germany she was very supportive of the Theta Theta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., where she worked tirelessly in the community to raise scholarships for students. On Wednesday, July 20, 2016 the Lord sent his angels to take her home.
