Julia Simmons Obituary

Ms. Julia Ann  Simmons, born to the parentage on April 5, 1956 in Green Pond, SC, to the late Lee Simmons and Mother Rosa Lee Doyle Simmons.

Julia exchanged time for eternity January 27, 2024 surrounded by her beloved family and friends.

Julia received her education from the schools of Colleton County graduating from Walterboro Senior High School class of 1975.

Julia career span includes gainful employment as a Culinary Arts worker with the Colleton County School District. Julia later was gainfully employed with the Colleton County Sheriff’s Department. Julia was recognized as Employee of the Month upon several occasions.

Julia had a love and compassion of family, humanity and all the less fortunate. Julia was always exemplified of the cliché “If I can help somebody as I pass along the way, then my living shall not be in vain”. Her sheer delight and pleasure were in her family, son Jarodney, especially granddaughter “LeLe”. Julia was never one to meet a stranger and would unselfishly give her last. Julia’s transitioning leaves a void that maybe intimidated, but never duplicated.

Julia was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger Simmons and Raymond Simmons and one sister, Sara Ann Simmons.

Julia leaves to cherish her legacy in her son, Jarodney Simmons; granddaughter and apple of her eye LeLe Simmons; two sisters, Mrs. Lillie M. Williams of Walterboro, SC and Ms. Ella M. Simmons of Green Pond, SC; five brothers, Mr. Moses Simmons and Mr. Ray Simmons (Jestine) of Boston, Mass, Mr. Randy Simmons (Doris) of Walterboro, SC, Mr. Leroy Simmons of Green Pond, SC and Mr. Stanley Simmons of Alexandria, VA; devoted cousins Ada Doyle Brown and Angie McDuffie; devoted niece Izzeria Copeland; A Companion Arthur Walters, Jr. Several nieces, nephews and many relatives and friends.
