She attended Pineland State Training School in Columbia SC and was reared in the home with her parents, who preceded her in death, Ernest and Florine Green. Her surviving siblings are: Ray (Brenda) Green, Walterboro; Jane’s fraternal twin, Elvina Green, Smoaks; Johnny Green, Smoaks; Josie (Henry) Simmons, Smoaks; Freddie Green, Ruffin; and Billy Green, Walterboro. Jane is also survived by fourteen loving nieces and nephews and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
As we say farewell to Jane we are reminded of the indelible mark she left on the lives of her loved ones. Jane taught them the power of perseverance and unconditional love. Do not dwell on her special needs but on her special ability to show love, resilience and joy.
