Margie Delores Stephens-Dunlop, fondly known as Cookie, was born September 4, 1950 In Ruffin S.C. to Magielain And Harvey Stephens Sr.
Margie began her education in the Ruffin S.C. school system. At a young age she moved to N.Y.C. where she furthered her education at Monroe High School in the Bronx N.Y.C., and also Monroe Business Institute in the Bronx N.Y. She lived in Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, And Long Island N.Y.
She worked at The United Way In N.Y.C from 1981-1998, and the American Physical Society in Ridge N.Y. from 2005-2015. She Retired In Summerville S.C.
She departed this life On March 8, 2022. Margie was preceded in death by her parents Magielain and Harvey Stephens Sr., brothers Harvey Jr., Marshall, and Howard Stephens, and sisters Eloise Carey and Evelyn (Ruby) Smith.
She cherished and leaves fond memories of her children, Spencer Stephens of Long Island N.Y., Takeia (Robert) Dunlop Prophet of Connecticut, Patrick (Vanessa) Dunlop Jr. of Maryland; Grandchildren, Ala Pickney, Shawntise Stephens, Tyler Stephens, Aya Dunlop; Brothers, Daniel (Tamara) Stephens of Ruffin S.C., Charles Alfred (Claire) Stephens of Hemmingway S.C., James (Pat) Stephens of Summerville S.C.; Sisters, Mary H. Gaines of Summerville S.C., Carolyn Morton of Atlanta Ga., and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends and a special friend Ms. Marion Bruno.
