Mrs. Helen Brock Obituary

Helen Edwards Brock was the oldest child of the late Lawry and Lacey Jennings Edwards, born on December 7, 1920.  She entered into eternal rest on the evening of May, 23, 2018 at her residence.

Helen Brock attended the public schools of Colleton County. She joined Mt. Sinai Baptist Church at an early age. She loved the Lord with all her heart and provided a good Christian that she came in contact with throughout her life.

On January 1, 1944 she was united in holy Matrimony to the late Willie James Brock Sr. In this union six children was born. 

She leaves to cherish her memories: daughters, Dorothy Mae Simmons of Ridgeville, SC; Florrie Ann Powell of Cottageville, SC; Letha Brock of Brooklyn, N.Y; Belinda Farmer of Brooklyn, NY; Sons, Willie James Brock Jr. (Brenda) of Greenville, SC; and Carroll “Stormy” MacArthur Brock (Denean) of Cottageville, Seventeen Grandchildren, Twelve Great– grandchildren, and Three Great- Great grandchildren; One beloved Sister Beneatha Beal  of Brooklyn, NY and Two brothers-in-law, Freddie (Daisy) and John Brock both of Cottageville, SC; one sister-in-law Beverly Edwards of Cottageville, SC and numerous of  nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Preceded her in death two sons-in-law Preston Simmons and David Powell Sr. and One grandson Carroll Antonio “Tony” Brock.
