Mrs. Mamie Fryar Obituary

.Mamie L. Abraham Fryar, was born on May 18, 1964, in Bronx, New York. She was the oldest daughter of the late Reverend Theodore Abraham, Jr., and Minister Melvina Jenkins Abraham.

She was a graduate of Wyandanch Memorial High School in New York, and Coastal Carolina. Mamie was well known in the Ruffin community, and always went out of her way to help someone.  She loved to sing, cook, laugh, and you would not catch her without a smile on her face.  Mamie never met a stranger.

In 1988, she was united in holy matrimony to Kenneth Fryar and later relocated to Ruffin, SC.

She was a phlebotomist with Walterboro Adult and Pediatric Medicine, then later at LabCorp for many years, where she  touched so many lives.

Mamie also was a dedicated usher, and the sponsor/founder of the Especially for Women program, that was held at many churches. Mamie was a mentor to several youth within the community, as well as her church.  She loved traveling with family, and always enjoyed shopping, especially for purses.  Mamie loved talking about the Lord; and serving him in any way she can.  Whatever Mamie did, she would always end her conversation by saying, To God Be ALL The Glory!

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories to her loving husband: Kenneth Fryar, her mother: Minister Melvina Abraham (Branchville, SC); two sisters: Williannette Abraham (Atlanta, GA), Patrice Abraham (Branchville, SC); one brother: (Theodore “Bobby” (Gee Gee) Abraham; three bonus sisters (Bernice Rivers (Cope, SC) and Dr. Christine (Lenny) White (Prattville, AL); Gina (Roosevelt) Gardner (Wyandanch, NY); four sisters-in-law Sheldonia (Jerry) Henderson (Walterboro, SC); Beatrice (Howard) Bright (Ruffin, SC); Dian Fryar (Ruffin, SC); Dr. Leola Adams (Orangeburg, SC); Vonzola Adams (New Jersey); one brother-In-law: Frankie (Luverne) Fryar (Walterboro, SC); one great-aunt: Frankie Lee Jones (Co-op City, NY); three aunts: Mildred Yates (Ruffin, SC) (Mildred Martin (Branchville, SC); Bessie (Amos) Gourdine (St. Stephens, SC); six uncles: Reverend Elonzo (Shirley) Abraham (Branchville, SC); Reverend Wilbert (Princess) Davis (Branchville, SC); Robert (Marylynn) Heyward (Atlanta, GA); Calvin Grimes (Orangeburg, SC); Reverend W.D.
