Ms. Virginia Washington Obituary

On the morning of July 27, 2020, God look down after 72 years, He saw Virginia Washington getting tire, He ordered his angles to bring her home.

Virginia Washington, known to many as “Gin” was a kind and loving person to all she meet.

She received her education in the public schools of Colleton County.

She gave he life to the Lord at an early age. She was a member of Calvary A.M.E. church of Jacksonboro, South Carolina.

Gin was the daughter of the late Dolphus Green, Sr. and the late Sarah W. Jenkins.

She was preceded in death by her son, Calvin Washington; five siblings, Nathaniel Manigo, Lavern Jenkins, Lilier Johnson, Norman Jenkins and Esau Jenkins, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her two sons, Darryl Washington (Pamela) and Bernard Washington both of Jacksonboro, SC; fourteen Brother and sisters, Linda Washington, Svlania Jenkins, Mary Green (James), Lisa Davis (Anthony), Cathlene Bright (Victor), Joe Jenkins, Dolphus Green, Jr., Benijamin Green, Delores Green, Karlus Manigo (Beverly), Gwendolyn V. Green, Sheila Green, Aaron Green, and Robin Green; eight grand children; Rockelle Brown, Daryl Brown, Sondra Washington, Jarone Washington, Charmaine Washington, Bernard Washington, Payton Rivers and Mikala Schlee; seventeen great grand children, god daughter, Courtney Rasheema Jenkins  and a host of other relatives and friends.

 

ATTENTION: Due to the COVID- 19 virus pandemic  and in the effort to help stop the spread of the Virus.  Face masks must be worn at all times while in the Funeral Home. We can only allow a certain number of individuals inside the funeral home at one time. Please, remember to keep your distance as much as possible, and wash and sanitize your hands. Thank you for your cooperation and with helping us to  do our part in stopping the spread of the Virus.

Please leave the Family a note of Condolence, light a candle of remembrance, or order a floral remembrance piece.  Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where  I am, there ye may be also.  And whether I go ye know, and the way ye know. John 14:1-4
