Nicola Scentell Grant-McClennon was born on July 9, 1979 in Walterboro, SC. She was known to many as Nicole but best known and loved as “Coco,”. She left this earth too soon, passing away on September 13, 2025 at the age of 46.
Coco was one of a kind. She was bold, beautiful, and full of life. She never waited for life to come to her—she went after it. Whether it was running her businesses, venturing in new endeavors, or simply making sure her family was taken care of; she always found a way to make things happen. Coco loved the freedom of making her own money and living life on her own terms.
She was the life of every party! If Coco was there, you knew it. She had a way of lighting up any room she walked into, making friends everywhere she went. She didn’t play any games, but she was also deeply loving, fun, and unforgettable. Coco loved to travel, shop, laugh, and enjoy life to the fullest.
Above all, she was a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and grandmother who gave her whole heart to her family. She was her children’s and siblings’ loudest cheerleader and worked tirelessly to make sure her kids and her mother had the best life possible. Her love was fierce, her presence unforgettable, and her support unwavering.
Coco leaves behind her beloved mother, Amy McClellan; her children, Ahmon McClennon, Mehki Beverly, Zaire O’meally, Ashur O’meally, and Niyoki O’meally; her granddaughter, Ahviana McClennon; her siblings, Jonathan (Chenelle) McClennon, Camilla McClennon, and Nicholas Grant; Nieces and Nephews, Janiya McClennon, Jonathan McClennon Jr, Jordan McClennon, Destiny Singleton, Evan Adams Jr, and Sei Grant; great niece, Aubree Pritchett; as well as countless friends and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her father, Jonathan Allen Grant, and is also survived by her biological father, Joe Sanders.

In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. John 14:1-4
