On October 1, 2016 our all wise God called Pastor Rosalee M. Mitchell home from labor to reward as she peacefully slept away.

Pastor Rosalee M. Mitchell was born April 24 1934 in Walterboro, South Carolina to the late Mr. Walter Mitchell and Mother Jarisher (Ruth) Behlin Mitchell.

She was educated in Colleton County School System. She loved to read the bible and expound on the Word of God to and for His people.

On December 19, 1953 she was united in holy matrimony to late Elder Leon Mitchell, Jr. unto this union three children was born: Mr. Leon Jerome Mitchell, Pastor Janice Theresa Ann Mitchell and the late Sister Rosalee Delaine Mitchell White. In 1956 May 16th she accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. She would say as she testified that she was saved sanctified and satisfied in the baptism of the Holy Ghost in Jesus Christ. She became a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church at early age. When she received the baptism of the Holy Ghost God had her to moved her membership to Indian Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Mother Ruth Washington. She was ordained as Missionary, began preaching Gods word to the people then she became an evangelist. In 1977 following the spirit of the Holy Ghost together with her husband Elder Leon Mitchell, Jr.  Star Light Gospel Mission was established and received it’s charter on December 19, 1979. In her life she became mother to a lot of sons and daughters.

She was preceded in death by two siblings: brother, Saul Mitchell and sister, Addie Mae Isaac.

Pastor Mitchell leave to cherish her memory a loving and devoted son, Mr. Leon Jerome (Missionary Loraine D.) Mitchell of Miami, Fl; a devoted and loving daughter, Pastor Janice Theresa Ann Mitchell of Walterboro, SC; son-in-law, Mr. Marshall A. White of Walterboro, SC; sister, Mrs. Flora Bell Mitchell of Walterboro, SC; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Zell Mitchell of Walterboro, SC, Sis. Annie L. Rhames of Summerville, SC, Mrs. Mary (Ben) Holiday of St. Albany, NY, Mrs. Martha Mitchell and Mrs. Ivory Marie Brown both of Trenton, NJ; brother-in-law, Pastor Elliott N. (Sadye) Mitchell of Walterboro, SC; four grandchildren, Missionary Lora L. and Sister Leondra J. Mitchell of Miami, Fl; and Mrs. RoTrena M. (Timothy D. Jr.) Hamilton of Columbia, SC; grandson, Mr. Ma’Trey A. (Morgan) White of Camarillo, CA; four great grandchildren, Little Master Xzavion T. and Timothy Dean Hamilton, III of Columbia, SC; Little Miss Trinity T. A. Hamilton of Columbia, SC and Little Miss Taj A.
