Ri’chard L. Du Bois was born on February 7,1979, to Dorothy Jane Du Bois -Pinckney and
Richard Leon Pinckney. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose life was marked
by love, kindness, and devotion to family. Ri’chard grew into a man known for his giving heart,
his warm spirit, and his unique way of making everyday life feel meaningful through his style,
thoughtfulness, and brilliance.


Ri’chard graduated from Palm Beach Lakes High School, Class of 1997, where he graduated
Summa Cum Laude for being an exceptional student, mentor, and intern. Ri’chard continued his
education obtaining his bachelor’s degree from Florida International University majoring in
Political Science and a minor in Computer Science, he later attended Standford University where
he received accredited credentials in Cyber Security.
Ri’chard built a life defined by curiosity, innovation, and a deep commitment to learning in the
ever-evolving world of technology. Ri’chard was known not only for his technical skill but also
for his drive to stay ahead of industry trends, continually expanding his knowledge through
certifications, hands-on projects, and independent study.


Throughout his journey, he embraced the rapid growth of the tech world, gaining experience in
areas such as software development, systems management, and digital problem-solving. His
passion for technology extended beyond formal education, as he believed in lifelong learning and
often explored new tools and innovations on his own time.
His legacy in the tech world is one of perseverance, adaptability, and an enduring commitment to
growth and knowledge.


Ri’chard enjoyed hiking, biking, traveling, exploring new business ventures, shopping, tending
to his beloved dogs (Sassy, Coco, and the late Ally, Prada TT and Dolly), gardening, home
improvement projects, and executing business deals for friends and family.


Ri’chard was a highly intelligent, refined, and humble person, and was known for his
unwavering amount of support and guidance, with his wise words, empathy, and unlimited
amount of encouragement. Ri’chard was the nucleus of the family even as a child, he was always
beyond his years and was known for being the life of the party, “The Fun Cousin” and
affectionately known at work as “The God Father” that had an unmitigated love for fashion.
Ri’chard was an advocate of using your free will, living life to the fullest, unapologetically, and
treating others the way you would want to be treated, with kindness, respect. Ri’chard made a
momentous impact on everyone that he encountered and will be sorely missed.


On April 5,2026, Ri’chard L. Du Bois transitioned from this life leaving behind a legacy of love,
service and family devotion, that will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother Dorothy Jane Du Bois -Pinckney, Evangelist
Idella D. Washington, (Grandmother) Ida Marie Lloyd (Aunt) Calvin Du bois (Uncle), Herman
Pinkney (Grandfather), Evelyn Pinckney (Grandmother)
Ri’chard is survived by his father Richard L Pinckney (Walterboro, S.C.) ,cherished by his
siblings Rodney Du Bois (Port St. Lucie, FL) Sheneke (Walterboro, S.C), Ashley (Walterboro,
S.C),Candace(Walterboro, S.C), Kendrick (Walterboro, S.C), and Dristen (Walterboro, S.C),his
Uncles and Aunts Harry Lee Du bois of Palm Bay, Fl (Lydia Du bois), Jarome Murdaugh of New
York City , Jonathan Murdaugh of New York City (Lisa M. Murdaugh), Willie Washington Jr. of


Las Vegas, NV (Roberta Washington)) Mark Washington ( Orange City ,Fl) Pricilla Dubois
(Long Island, NY) Sandra Brown from (Charleston SC) Helen Breshers (Charleston SC), Terry
Pinckney( Georgia), Suzanne Gant (Walterboro S.C.) Eddie Pinckney (Walterboro SC), and
Herman Lee Jr. (Walterboro S.C.) Shelia Murdaugh (West Palm Beach, Fl),dear friends from
California Jeffery, Elizabeth, Yvonne, Rafa,and Felipe. Along with a host of nieces, nephews,
and other relatives, who will forever cherish his memory.
