Robert Washington, 

Robert Washington, 67, died after a battle with brain cancer on Sunday, June 27, 2016 in Gainesville, FL.  He was born on March 10, 1949 in Walterboro, SC to Harold and Ermine Washington. He married the former Deborah (Brown) Washington who preceded him 

Robert was known to the community as an artist. He was a self-taught artist who painted primarily in watercolor, pen, and ink drawing.“Wash”, as he was affectionately known, described his work as “Lowcountry Nostalgia” – lifestyles and mannerisms of the Gullah culture.

Robert is survived by a daughter Gina Greenidge, son Robi Washington; grandchildren, Ahman Greenidge, Ayden Greenidge, A’Junay Washington, Asia Brailey; mother-in-law, Margaret Brown, and a host of close friends. Memorial services will be Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Whitehall Terrance Community Center, Address: 3685 Tower Drive,  in Mt. Pleasant, SC  29466.
