Tasha Randell Obituary

 

Tasha Jameelah Randell was born on January 31, 1979, to the late Cha-Cha Randell-Lawton and George Eady.  In the year of 1987, Her mother moved to South Carolina and married Cleroy Lawton where Tasha grew up and lived until her passing on August 14, 2021.

Tasha graduated from Ruffin High School in 1998 in Ruffin, South Carolina.  Then she went to Benedict College in 1998 and enrolled for two years working towards a degree in Teaching.  Tasha Jameelah Randell pursued various careers and worked her way up in the food industry.  She started on January 19, 2005, in Walterboro working for the Kangaroo company and then went to work in their West Columbia office for over 16 years as the Assistant Manager. After working for the Kangaroo, she went to work at Subway as the Manager in the West Columbia office.  Tasha took ill during her working career and then went back to work as a Manager for Zaxby’s for a short time.  Just before she passed, she worked as a Manager at Subway in Pelion, SC.

Tasha was blessed to receive Jamyson Brock Lamont Randell born on May 5, 2014.  She was a very happy, witty, loving, outgoing and giving person.  She was a wonderful mother, sister, best friend, and all-around loving person. Tasha was an awesome aunt to her nieces and nephews, and she treated them like her own children.  Also, when it came to the people who was in her life she made them all feel like family no matter who they were.  She will truly be missed by her awesome sisters who over the years became so close that this situation will forever change their lives.  Her family structure will never be the same, but we know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Cleroy and Cha-Cha Lawton, grandfather and grandmother, Willie and Artlee Lawton and granddaddy Alfred Walker, three uncles, Jr., Lorenzo, and Glendale Lawton, Lonnie Randell, three aunts, Ida McLucas, Gertrude Lawton, and Myrtle Risher.

She leaves to cherish her fondest memories of one son Jamyson, bonus babies: James Jr., Tyler, Unek. Finance James Robinson of Columbia, SC, sisters: Nicole D. Randell of Orangeburg, SC, Erica (Andy) M. Jones of Summerville, SC, India (Chris) Brown of Walterboro, SC., Marian McClurkin of Columbia, SC,.  aunties: Bernadette (Victor) Johnson of Walterboro, SC, Beatrice Johnson of Virginia Beach, VA, Luvenia Hodges of Smoaks, SC, Rosa Lawton of Walterboro, SC, Helen Douglas, and Margie Lawton of Islandton, SC, grandmother, Dorothy M. Randell of Walterboro, SC, one uncle: Richard Randell of Walterboro, SC, nieces, and nephews:  Timothy, Alquanna, Tre’Ion, Maliya, Zion, Trevon, Tamani (Nell), Gabriel, Blaine Mylissa, Mark, Zaria Haven, Tianna, Jamal Andree, Troy and Jadavian, Ranisha and Salquan Jones of Georgia.  Loving cousins: Joey Randell and Jason Knox. Sisters from love: Shamarla Williams, Shaniquia Rutherford, LaTonya Scott and Tonya Miller.  Also, a special little sister and brother: Gabrielle Ostrander and Johnnie Lykes.  A host of other family and friends that loved her.
