Timothy James Linnen Jr (aka Bubba), son of Timothy James Linnen Sr and Reader Bell Aiken Linnen, was born November 1, 1947 in Islandton, South Carolina. His life departed on June 26,
2024. During his early ages, he resided in Ruffin, South Carolina. His family relocated to New York when he was a teenager. Bubba attended Trade School in New York, completing studies in Security Auto Mechanic, and Welding.
During his younger years, Bubba loved to build battery operated Go-carts that was utilized by the military. He enjoyed simulating his father and grandfather’s military careers and always wanted to
mimicked their work ethic.
He worked as a Guardian and Hospital Security Guard in New York. He frequently played the Trumpet with several famous musicians. When he returned to South Carolina, he worked as a Foreign Car Mechanic. He was the jack of many trades and mastered every job. He worked hard and loved to spend money even more. After retirement, he lost his vision and spent his final years
in a care facility.
Left to celebrate the legacy of his life are: his beautiful and loving wife, Mrs. Perlee Townsend-Linnen; 6 children – daughters Tieieama and Sessie of Brooklyn, New York; sons Ernest and Kevinalso of Brooklyn, New York; and sons William and Antone Ali of Bronx, New York; 7 grandchildren,and 1 great-grandchild; 2 sisters - Sarah Linnen of Upper Marlboro, MD and Mary Linnen-Osias of Anderson, SC; 5 sister-in-laws – Mattie Simmons of McClellanville, SC, Faye Perry of Charlotte, NC,Flora Mae Campbell, Betty Townsend, and Syvilla Harrington all of Bennetsville, SC; 2 brother-in-laws – Freddie Townsend II of West Palm Bay, FL and Eddie Townsend of Fayetteville, NC; and one loving aunt Rosa Lee Stokes-Linnen of Beaufort, SC; along with a huge factory of nieces, nephews,cousins, neighbors, and friends.
