Wendell Rudolph Gant

Wendell R. Gant was born April 7, 1957 in Round-O, South Carolina to the late Louise Gant Wilson.

He attended and graduated from Walterboro High School in 1976.

At an early age his grandparents, John and Hattie Gant, taught him lifelong lessons about moral values and how to become a hard working productive citizen in order to survive in this world. Although he was a care free loud and gentle spirit that loved to have what he considered fun. He never met a stranger. If he could be of service to you, he was there to offer knowledge and help. His favorite saying was “Think Big,” for he learned at an early age that there is power in the tongue.

Being a construction worker, he held many jobs involving the construction of roads and bridges, but his latest job before he departed his life on April 13, 2021 involved his love of Forestry in Florence, SC. 

Wendell leaves to cherish his memories; his father, Preston Gadson (wife Meredith) one sister, Prestine Gadson, three brothers, David Wilson, Vincent Gadson and Henry Lee Gant who preceded him in death, three aunts, two uncles all of Tampa, Fla, two aunts of Walterboro, SC. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will sadly miss him.

ATTENTION: Due to the COVID- 19 virus pandemic  and in the effort to help stop the spread of the Virus.  Face masks must be worn at all times while in the Funeral Home. We can only allow a certain number of individuals inside the funeral home at one time. Please, remember to keep your distance as much as possible, and wash and sanitize your hands. Thank you for your cooperation and with helping us to do our part in stopping the spread of the Virus.
