July 27, 1947- December 19, 2016
Willie J. (Tank) Herriott, husband, father, uncle and friend to many joined our Lord in eternal rest on Monday, December 19, 2016.  
Lifelong resident of Miami, Florida, Distinguished Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and Retired Corporal with Miami-Dade, Department of Corrections he was the consummate host, loved golf, jazz and was affiliated with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Affairs, Old Timers, Northwestern’s Class of ’65 and Prince Hall Free Masons.   He was well known for his extreme loving spirit and always availing himself to helping friends with various projects.

Left to remember a lifetime of memories are wife, Anne Turner Herriott, only child, William (Tessie) of Atlanta, GA. granddaughters Iona Lynn, Jelena Faith; Yvonna Kei and LaRosa; brother Nathaniel; aunt Louise Sands; father-in-law Jonas Turner; four sisters-in law; six brothers-in-law; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends at Visitation and Memorial Service on Monday, December 26, 2016 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Greater New Bethel Baptist Church, 17025 NW 22nd Ave; Miami Gardens, Florida 33056.  Funeral services for  Willie will be held at Greater New Bethel Baptist Church on December 27, 2016 at 11:00am and he will be laid to rest at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida.
